Deciding who should win September’s review of the month has been a very difficult decision to make. The office was split in half by two reviews that we all loved but couldn’t decide was more worthy. So, we decided to award it to them both.
Damian Wilson’s Tandem Skydive review
I wanted to share some feedback from my AMAZING skydive, which was bought by my wife for me for Christmas.
We travelled to Nottingham on a glorious day, and were welcomed by the team and taken through the safety processes by the friendly team. After the tension mounted on the briefing, I was taken up in the plane by my tandem skydive partner. Although he did 7 dives a day, he was enthusiastic and passionate about ensuring that I enjoyed mine.
No words can describe freefalling from the plane, it was like no roller coaster you have ever experienced and amazing soaring above the countryside as we came into land. I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone who is thinking about a skydive, it is one of the best feelings and activities ever.
I’m so glad I received the experience, it made my Christmas then made my year when I did it!
Anthony J Colson’s Extreme 4×4 at Silverstone review
My Silverstone 4×4 experience was a gift for my 25th Birthday last year (okay – 40th!) but I only got round to actually doing it recently.
As I approached the area and started seeing signs for Silverstone circuit, I could have thrown up. I’m not usually a nervous person but must admit to some apprehension. I thought of extreme steep slopes being not only ascended and descended but also traversed, aswell as rocks, boulders, deep water and loose stuff – and I was right!
What I did not expect was how very friendly everyone was, from the reception staff to the instructor, whose enthusiasm coupled with his calm demeanour (in the face of impending serious injury at the hands of a 4×4 novice) meant I was immediately put at my ease.
The time flew past and I was left totally dumbfounded as to the capabilities of the Land Rover, you read that they are “this” good and can cope with “that” terrain in its stride, BUT the proof of the pudding was definitely in the eating!!!
